In transit, spring 2018

Yesterday, on the morning of our departure Anne waited in one doctor’s waiting room or another for 90 minutes for almost 5 hours. Not the way she expected to spend the last hours before departure, but a good lesson about patience and handling the unexpected. Thankfully, the outcome was “nothing to worry about, go and enjoy your trip.”

Now we are waiting in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for our connection to Pau, a regional airport the south near our Camino starting point of Lourdes (in photo, Ed had just enjoyed our first cafe and pain au chocolat in France). It’s cloudy and 60 degrees. Nothing exciting to report, other than the fact that we have safely crossed the Atlantic, on time, too!

May 1 is a French national holiday so (maybe) not bad to spend it in transit. Lots of normal things are closed today, but hopefully our regional flight and ground transport to Lourdes will be operating. More later.
